And a good book to go with it: Beirut 39.

I love that book.

The last time that I had to replace my iPod earphones - and it wasn't too long ago - I had to pay $40. True, it was still a bit pricey for just a pair of earphones but I found it within a reasonable range since it's an Apple product, but holy shit, man. I damn near cried in the store when the salesman showed me the earphones that come with a mic (I think there's a mic?) and a controller. The new earphones, he said, costing $48.

I asked for the ones without the mic and controller but he said they no longer sell that; those are the ones they're selling now and in my head, I was like, Fuck me. $50 for a pair of earphones? Now that's just too much.

To further clarify, to ensure that we're talking about the same pair of earphones here, I mentioned the $39 that I had to pay the other time and he nodded in his stoic demeanour saying, "Yes. We no longer sell that."

Well.

I told him I'm going to think about it.

I'll most probably be back tomorrow and buy one.

Oh God, forgive me for spending so much. :(

Look: a 6-1 win.

Needless to say, that shocked me awake. I was dreading to know about the result when I started up the Mac earlier, to be honest, but THIS! I didn't expect this. I mean, even if they won, as one could expect, there would be a goal or two difference, but this is just a very nice surprise.

So nice.
