I Wanna Burn the City With You
Saturday, 6 September 2008 | 10:07 pm

Man, I'm loving this flat screen monitor. No, it's not in my bedroom; it's for the living room since the previous one is long dead. I feel bad for slamming it against the wall numerous times to make the screen not stay blue. Actually, it wasn't only me. Basically the whole family was in on it. So yeah, we all ganged up on it and abused it and now it's dead. Oh well.

We're not abusive people, I'm telling you. We're just...aggressive.

Despite my loving it, I find it annoying, too. I understand it's in the nature of all flat screens that you don't get the best view from the sides unless you're front and center but wow, the colors and I don't see eye to eye. It's either the orange is too bright or the red too mellow or the white too blindingly bright, and I found out that the web buttons that I thought were black before were actually brown. So I thought, adjust the contrast and brightness, stupid. But hell, even that don't so shit. The others seem to not have any viewing problems. Maybe it's just my eyes or something.

Speaking of eyes, I was browsing through the iTunes store when...you know what, I don't remember how I've gone from wanting (wasn't quite there yet) to preview Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone to gawking at the album cover of Swan Songs, and no, there's no relation whatsoever between Slipknot and said album. You see what I mean by distracted easily? I can be on one track one moment and on the other the next and not realize it. But damn, I didn't know HU was debuting an album and that it's out four days ago until today. Wow.

It's mad sick. I love it.

And I love them more than ever.
